GUYS guyssss… dun dun dunnn… it’s almost timeeeee! Summer is rolling in and that means a new wave of music, film, tours and sunburn galore. Jenny Han is a true magician of our era, capturing the essence of wholistic drama filled young love with stunning female leads and gorgeous male leads that will send you over the edge just enough for you to develop a toxic relationship with them (Jeremiah Fisher and Peter Kavinsky, you know where home is) The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 is set to release this summer on July 16th, and fans around the world are reviewing their notes to be in perfect position to view this new season. But, put your notebook away, I’ve got your catch up list right here. Here’s what to know before you tune into the next season of The Summer I Turned Pretty:

There is a timeskip in the series: The next season will have an expansive timeskip of almost over a year, where the group are well within their college careers which is specified in the third installment of the book trilogy titled “We’ll always have summer.” The cousins crew are now all grown up, however the new season will most likely feature some of the crew entering adulthood and their newfound careers. This is important to bear in mind when viewing the new season as some moments may be glossed over for the sake of storytelling, but will most likely be revisited in the form of a flashback as the show usually does to que the audience in on what occurred since the show stopped airing. Be prepared to view the Cousin’s kids in a new mature light this season as opposed to their routine silly and lighthearted demeanors to that of the previous seasons.

All the firsts Belly experienced with both brothers– Belly just wants all the fun to herself it seems, because she experiences a whole lot of firsts with each brother throughout the series. From sharing romantic kisses and intimate moments with Jeremiah to then having her first time with Conrad, considering this and everything else will only continue to blur the lines and make her decision all the more heartwrenching for the next season. The third book in the series is known to be incredibly profound and full of depth; besties you’ve been warned to proceed at  your own viewing discretion.

Bellys definite (indefinite) decision in the season finale: Belly ultimately chooses Jeremiah and honestly……(is this a safe space because I would love to share how I feel about this) truthfully, I’m not thrilled she chose him……

Conrad’s heartbreak: Conrad is immensely heartbroken following Belly’s decision to commit to Jeremiah. We all have come to know and love Conrads sensitive and profound character, but his looming heartbreak and pending feelings for Belly are major pieces of the equation to consider when viewing the final season; meaning anything can occur between the two, regardless of who she’s currently romantically devoted to.

The Summer I Turned Pretty’s trailer promises all the fun summer love and emotional rollercoasters fans and viewers are addicted to. Being that this is the final season of TSITP, fans around the world get to soak in the summer sun with our favorite crew from cousins once last time in their bittersweet farewell to this heartfelt trilogy.
