MARIA'S NOTES

Oh besties…you may NOT believe me…but I missed you dearly! I know many months and (one season) have passed us by, and we completely leapfrogged it ALL the way to December, (which happens to be the best season of the 12 month calendar year). Just because some time passed doesn’t mean I haven’t been thinking of you (you’ve been living in my mind rent free besties) since three months have come and gone, I’ve had plenty of time to reevaluate and reassess my monthly favorites, to be certain I brought you a well-considered and thoughtful list. With that being said, here are my November favorites (sent with a little extra love)

1. A Very Jonas Christmas Movie

Ahh….my preadolescent heart is fluttering at the thought of writing this … but the Jonas Brothers have found their way back into my everyday vocabulary and my atmosphere once again with their very first Christmas film. The boys star in this film and embark on a journey to have the most memorable Christmas ever amid airport delays and other mishaps that come along the way with the hustle and bustle of the season. Between Nick being belittled by his broadway archnemesis in front of a crowd, and Joe cutting loose in a London nightclub; this film is truly beyond our wildest imaginations. 

2.La Roche Posay Toleriane Purifying Facial Cleanser

Now, let me say this–I have not been interacting with the makeup industry as often as I’d like these days since my skin’s health has been taking me on a rollercoaster these days (and not the magic kingdom kind). I’ve opted for a clean skin sort of fall and winter–and with that being said; my favorite cleanser that’s lasted me through the bitter cold and high wind speeds of December is none other than La Roche Posay. I’m sure you’ve all heard this name flutter through the wind as this brand is world renowned for its mild cleansing ingredients and ability to alleviate skin dryness and tightness. And let me be another woman to testify because I feel like testifying tonight–It does just that! Combine this with your favorite rich and moisturizing skin butter and you’ll be plump and glowin in no time:)))

3.Kehlani-Out the Window

Kehlani has been extraordinarily eye-catching these days; following her groundbreaking release of Folded this past summer. Kehlani combines modern R&B sounds with that of its traditional rhythms and melodies of the 90’s, bringing in a modern appreciation for the divas and female artists of the early 00’s and 90’s like Aaliyah and Jojo. Out the window is a perfect followup to Folded; begging and urging a distant lover to endure the hard times together, and not to throw everything they’ve built together out the window is far too relatable, and tugs on the heart strings just enough to make you whisper “damn.”

And that just about rounds out our list of November favorites. Being that Earth was graced with my presence (and cynicism) during this beautiful autumn month, I made sure to take extra care to cultivate a list that encompassed what made November a memorable month, and what exactly made it just so hard to say goodbye to. But we’re in the thick of the holiday season! Now bestie go spend some time with your family, but you can do so once you finish reading this 😏😏
